Job Summary

The Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting ISRO's space missions and research activities by analyzing and interpreting scientific data. You'll be responsible for data acquisition, cleaning, manipulation, and visualization, transforming raw information into actionable insights. This role requires a strong foundation in data analysis methods, proficiency in programming languages, and the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and execution of data collection procedures from satellites, spacecraft, and ground stations
• Acquire, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources
• Apply statistical analysis techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract meaningful insights from data
• Develop and implement data visualization techniques to effectively communicate findings
• Generate reports and presentations to communicate data analysis results to scientists and engineers
• Stay up-to-date on the latest data analysis tools and methodologies
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and other data analysts on various projects
• Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues
• Maintain accurate and secure data storage practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree with demonstrably relevant experience may be considered)
• Strong foundation in data analysis methods (e.g., statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, regression analysis)
• Proficiency in programming languages for data analysis (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB)
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
