Position: Petroleum Engineer (Remote)

About the Role:

The Petroleum Engineer role provides a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise and contribute to the entire oil and gas exploration and production lifecycle. You'll work remotely, leveraging your skills to design, develop, and implement strategies for maximizing oil and gas recovery.

Job Summary:

• Collaborate with geoscientists and other engineers to evaluate potential oil and gas reserves.
• Utilize reservoir simulation software to model well performance and optimize production plans.
• Design and recommend drilling and completion strategies for efficient hydrocarbon extraction.
• Analyze well data to identify production issues and recommend solutions for enhanced recovery.
• Oversee well operations and ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in petroleum engineering technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the planning and execution of oil and gas exploration projects.
• Perform reservoir engineering calculations and analysis to determine hydrocarbon reserves and production potential.
• Recommend and design well completion methods based on reservoir characteristics.
• Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift (methods to assist well production) to optimize well performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot wellbore issues to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry (for experienced professionals) or a strong academic background (for freshers).
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

Experience:

• This role is open to both experienced professionals and talented freshers.
• For experienced candidates, a minimum of 2 years of experience in petroleum engineering is preferred. Prior experience in reservoir engineering, well completion design, or production optimization would be highly advantageous.
• Fresh graduates with a strong academic background in petroleum engineering and a demonstrable passion for the industry will also be considered.
